Scrummy

This was posted for the theme 'Fruit'.

Last summer I took a photo of a plate of raspberries and didn't do anything with it, so when the 'fruit' theme came up I thought 'Aha! - I can use that' so I uploaded it. However, I couldn't help thinking that it was a bit flat with no real point of interest, even though they looked really scrummy. Plus, I just know that there'll be some hot competition today.

So, here's my alternative - 10 minutes from concept to upload - isn't digital wonderful?

Take a look at the raspberries at http://www.brightimaging.com/sc/20060609/20060609.htm. Which one do you like best? Should I have changed it? Maybe I should have pretended to forget that there is a fruit theme?

As always, any and all comments welcome, the red light is on...

Steve

PS. Oh, and when I say 'which one do you like best', I don't mean which raspberry :)

PPS. Thanks for all your comments yesterday, I really appreciate them.

I think you made the right choice, this is a great shot.
Steve: Thanks. I think the other one is more of a shot for hanging over a fruit bar in a restaurant!

Either would have done - they're both very impressive. This one is, perhaps, less obvious - a more artistic interpretation of the theme.
Steve: Thanks Colin

Steve: Thanks for commenting smile
But this IS in line with the theme, isn't it?... I think you should tag it...Love the expression.
Steve: Thanks for reminding me, I had tagged the previous one, but forgot this one

This one is far better. The other closeup is pretty good, but from the perspective say of a marketing shot (think M&S like photo), it needed maybe something like moisture drops to give it a bit of life. Then again what do I know smile
Steve: You're right Mark. I keep forgetting my atomiser!

This is more interpretative and original. I agree with previous comments that the raspberry shot is lacking in interest even though it was taken very well.
Steve: Thanks BeakerSt
