What's all this 'school ties' stuff I've been going on about? Well, on November 15th, there was a bit of a reunion at my old school, featured here. About a dozen people from the class of 1978 met up, 30 years after leaving school. We had a tour which was very interesting, and it would have been good to spend more time chatting and pondering. That was the first time I had visited the School in 30 years.
Despite what you see here, the school is straight, not curved, as are the steps. If I had a tilt-shift lens, perhaps I could have got it sorted, but this was a hand-held six shot panorama at 12mm, stitched using ptgui. I have done perspective correction, but I couldn't figure out the distortion correction in a reasonable timeframe.
The School (Queen Elizabeth's Hospital) [link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Elizabeth%27s_Hospital ] sits imposingly on the side of Brandon Hill in Bristol, with the Cabot Tower [link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabot_Tower_(Bristol) ] behind. You can't see the tower in this photo, but you could in yesterday's.
Before you ask - despite the name, it's not a hospital.
